Custom Surfboards
We offer a custom surfboard program so our craftsman can build your dream surfboard. Ordering your surfboard is a simple process that allows you to choose colours, finishes and sizing to your specification, including having it personalised.
Step 1.
Complete the enquiry form giving as much detail in the information boxes as possible.
Step 2.
Our staff will contact you either by telephone or email to help guide you through your custom order process, confirming every aspect of your order, including your shipping, if required.
Step 3.
Once your order details have been completed, we require payment in full to begin building your custom surfboard. Upon receipt of your payment, we commence the production of your board, giving you regular updates on its progress.
Hand-shape with Bob or Ben McTavish - Custom Surfboard Program
If you would like to get closer to the design and manufacturing process of your custom surfboard, we offer a very special and personalised hand-shape experience. Bob and Ben McTavish are each available for a personal one-on-one custom hand-shape session where you can discuss the particulars of your board directly with the shaper in our Byron Bay showroom and factory, and experience in person your hand-shape surfboard being shaped from start to finish.
Step 1.
Complete the enquiry form giving as much detail in the information box as possible.
Step 2.
Our staff will contact you either by telephone or email to help guide you through the order process, confirming every aspect of your custom hand-shape, including booking a specific date to come to our factory to meet your choice of shaper and experience a full hand-shape session.
Step 3.
Once your booking date has been decided we require you to pay a booking confirmation fee provide to you by our staff.
Step 4.
On the day of your booking, we start by offering you the opportunity to sit down, have a complimentary coffee and chat with your shaper. It’s the time to talk about the type of surfboard you're after and determine all the intricate details to be included in your custom hand-shaped surfboard. Next, we give you a quick factory tour on the way to the shaping bay where all the action takes place. This generally takes around 4 hrs.
Step 5.
Once your surfboard has been shaped it will join the priority queue in our production line and depending on the complexity of the artwork and design, your surfboard will be ready for collection or shipping within 4 – 8 weeks.
